Well I'm too exhausted to write much at the moment so I'll point form it.

- had a marvelous weekend in Ottawa (I did miss that city).
- did all sorts of exciting things such as Lusk caves (see picture below - yes I'm in a grimace but it was a hard picture to take). They were so freaking cool. We went exploring in really cold water and saw lots of cool cave related things. Such as fishes. And cave spiders. And rocks.

- went to a Scottish pub where not only did they NOT have Scottish music, they did not have good Scottish beer either. However some drunk guy did give us half of his pitcher.
- continued my streak of nerdy-ness by becoming attached to the show Battlestar Galactica (BSG).

Now I am back in the G-spot in my first week of teaching placement (not that I'm doing any teaching at the moment)
- I have never tied so many shoes in my life. Does no one use velcro anymore?
- Grade 1's are a lot smaller than I remember. Getting down to their level has given me an aching lower back.
- I wanting to steal two of the little girls - the one put her hand up on the first day and asked if she could sing a song to the class. It was about flowers and how they are pretty and how the loves them. It was so cute I almost peed my pants.
- It is hard to get back that 'inner child'. We did "movement" activities today and I felt like an absolute dork even though all the kids looked as silly as me. Also, in grade 1 and 2 you apparently sing to the kids for half of the day. I am currently humming a song and am about to dig my eyeballs out with a spoon because I'm so annoyed with myself.

All in all I am having a good week but am so tired I could fall pass out right now. I get to read a story tomorrow (even though we're not supposed to be teaching.. go me!) and it has the word Chrysanthemum in it perhaps 50 times. It's a hard word to say over and over again.

Also no kids have made fun of my ears yet. However, I have not worn my hair up yet. It is only a matter of time. Kids notice things like that. I remember one lovely boy at the Boyne asking "what's wrong with your ears?".

Update already! It's not like you're in Europe or anything! Or at least post a picture where I can see your boobs better.
